- Don't climb out your window unless there is a fire.
- Carpet and bedding are added to the list of things that we don't draw on.
- Don't move your bed to block your door.
- Don't move your bed anywhere.
Here is an important rule to remember: Do not leave squirt bottles around where Cayden can get them. We have learned that Cayden, water, and TVs are a deadly combination, for the TV that is. He killed ours about 1 1/2 years ago and he did it again at Easter at my mom's house.
Rule #1 background: Cayden pushed out his screen and climbed out his window (with the help and encouragement of his big sister outside) when he was in his room having a time-out. They were both found playing on the deck and they both were in trouble.
Rule #3 background: After we put Cayden to bed, he had moved his bed in front of his door so it wouldn't open. We used to have a problem with him moving his bed around at our house in Salem. We had hardwood floors and it was EASY for him to move the furniture around. He would always move his bed over to get on top of his dresser. He would use it as a step stool to get to what he wants. We were ready to bolt the bed to the wall! Actually, we did try tying it to hooks we put in the baseboard (our walls were plaster and we wouldn't be able to anchor his bed to it) and he just pulled the hooks right out the next time he tried to move his bed. We were so excited when we bought this house because with carpet, he couldn't just push the furniture around. But here we are and he is at it again.
