Cayden Turns Four!

My little boy turned four yesterday! We had a fun day with him. He would let people know that it was his "durbay" and wanted us to sing him "Dappy Durbay" to him.

I was going to take him to the zoo with his friend, but Brandon was sick. We had extra play time and I built him a "house" for us to play in. It helped pass the time while Faith was at school and Brenna was napping.

We went to his favorite place for dinner...McDonalds! It's the playland that he really loves. He plays, comes to eat a few bites, then goes back to play again.

He has been telling us since Faith's birthday that he wanted a Spiderman cake for his birthday. He loves Spiderman and loves to have me tell him bedtime stories about him being Spiderman. He also picked out a black Spiderman toy with his birthday money.
He loves to make webs throughout the house for Spiderman!
But his favorite gift was these dinosaurs. He makes Spiderman and Batman ride them. His other favorite gift was his own tie. He can't wait to wear it to church.

Cayden had his well child exam today and he is as tall as the average 5 1/2 year old. He's in the 75th percentile for height! His weight is much lower, but still good for his growth curve. He had to get five shots and the doctor also took his staple out. He cut his head on a door hinge before church on Sunday and had to get one staple. So, today wasn't as much fun, but my parents are coming to visit tomorrow and the birthday celebration will continue.

Birthdays are always more fun when they are in the middle of the week...when you are young. You get the actual day and then a weekend celebration as weill when the old folks aren't working. We're looking forward to seeing all of you!

Wow, I can't believe so much time has passed since we lived close. Cayden looks so grown up in those pictures. I also love what Jared did for your sidewalk. Your yard really doesn't look bad. You two always beautify things so well!:)
