Day 4

Sadly, we wasted the morning this day touring a time share and money we got for doing it was only good at certain shops. But we still had fun this day. We did something that we've always wanted to try...parasailing!

It was so quiet and peaceful up there!

We then headed back out to North Shore and did some snorkeling at Shark Cove until it started to rain. I didn't get very good pictures because my battery was dying and the lens was dirty.

(Not my picture...the weather wasn't as nice when we went.)

When the rain hit, we packed up and went out looking for a site of ancient ruins that was nearby. We had some vague directions, but we still found Puu o Mahuka Heiau. It was a sacred place of worship. Even though it was pouring down rain by that time, I loved being there and walking around the muddy trails around the site. The views looking down into the bay and Waimea valley were amazing. My camera battery died, but I found some pics on google.

We finished our day by watching the sun set at Haleiwa. The rain had stopped and there was a break in the clouds. I still have the mental image burned in my mind. It was a perfect ending for our day!
